چکیده

Background Allergic rhinitis is a common respiratory disease in children and sensitization to inhalant allergens plays significant role its development. However, limited knowledge exists regarding profiles of allergen components atopic children, particularly the very young individuals. Understanding these could provide insights into early development allergic rhinitis. The objective this cross-sectional retrospective study was evaluate IgE-sensitization multiple their clinical relevance Dutch with specific focus on under age 4 years. Methods A total 243 were included analyzed using multiplex microarray analysis (ISAC). Clinical information obtained from records pediatric allergy outpatient clinic between 2011 2020. Specific IgE responses inhalation five sources (grass pollen, tree house dust mite, cat dog), examined. encompassed different groups compared those without symptoms. Results results demonstrated that present 92% cohort. Sensitization already evident at (87%), including infancy, rapid increase prevalence after 1 year age. House mite emerged as most predominant sensitizing childhood, followed by pollen later patterns similar symptomatic asymptomatic although exhibited higher frequencies values. comparable across all groups. Conclusion These findings highlight presence onset before 4, children. Notable molecules years include Bet v 1, Fel d Der f p 10 Phl being among infants. Sensitization pattern to inhalant and food allergens in symptomatic children at first evaluation

BACKGROUND Data on specific IgE sensitization prevalence in children with allergy-like symptoms seen in the primary care setting are rare. Early diagnosis of allergic diseases is important to prevent clinical manifestations, exacerbations or expansion of allergic diseases to other organ systems. The present study aims to assess the usefulness of early serological diagnosis in children with comm...

Systemic sensitization with the protein allergen ovalbumin augments local sensitization in atopic dermatitis

Mouse models of atopic dermatitis based on epicutaneous sensitization have shed light on the role of epicutaneous allergen entry in the development of respiratory and gastrointestinal allergy. However, the contribution of non-cutaneous modes of sensitization to skin diseases has not been evaluated. We assessed if systemic ovalbumin administration, in conjunction with local sensitization, could ...

Patterns of Inhalant Allergen Sensitization and Geographical Variation in Korean Adults: A Multicenter Retrospective Study

PURPOSE Inhalant allergen sensitization is one of the major factors involved in the pathogenesis of allergic respiratory diseases. However, the sensitization is determined by interactions between genetic and environmental factors. Thus, testing panels of inhalant allergens may differ among geographical areas. Here we aimed to determine 10 common inhalant allergens in Korean adult patients with ...
